Former Kaizer Chiefs goal machine Knowledge Musona played a key role in helping his side avoid relegation following a crucial 3-2 victory over Al-Khaleej Club on Monday.

The Zimbabwe international now plies his trade in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Okhdood and he was crucial in helping his team stay in the top division for next season.
According to Soccer24, Musona's side picked up a dramatic 3-2 victory over Al-Khaleej in their last league match of the season to escape the relegation zone at the expense of Al-Wehda.
The 34-year-old provided the assist for the first goal to get his side back to 2-1 before he was substituted in the 75th minute due to injury.
Late drama unfolded as Musona's team scored two goals in the 95th and 105th minute to win 3-2 after 20 minutes of injury time was added.
The ex-Hoffenhiem man also notched an assist in the previous match against Al-Raed, which was crucial in helping Al-Okhdood avoid relegation earlier.
Musona, who won the PSL Top Scorer Award in 2010/11, moved to Al-Okhdood on a free transfer ahead of the 2024/25 season, where he was an important part of the team, according to Transfermarkt.

He scored five goals and added three assists in 30 league games this season.
