According to France Football's latest figures, United boss Mourinho is the best-paid manager in the world this season.
The French publication states that Mourinho will have earned €26 million (R392 million) by the end of the season, when bonuses, sponsorship deals and gross wages are taken into account.
China manager, the legendary Marcello Lippi, is second on the five-man list with his earnings of €23 million (R347 million) over the season, which is a mammoth amount considering he is not with his team every week.
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone will reportedly earn €22 million (R331 million) over the course of the campaign, making him the third best-paid boss in the world.
Real Madrid's Zinedine Zidane is fourth with his income expected to be €21 million (R316 million) for the season, ahead of City's Guardiola, who will reportedly earn €20 million (R301 million) during the same time frame.
