WCQ: England Maintain Perfect Record

Andorra 0-1 England

England maintained their winning start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with a 1-0 win away to Andorra on Saturday evening.

The nation's all-time leading scorer Harry Kane bagged the only goal of the game in the five minutes after the halftime break.

The win sees Thomas Tuchel's sit top of Group K with three wins from three matches.

Finland 0-2 Netherlands

The Netherlands opened their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-0 win away to Finland on Saturday night.

Ronald Koeman's charges got off to the perfect start when Memphis Depay latched onto a ball over the top before firing into the bottom corner.

The lead was doubled in the 23rd minute through Denzel Dumfries, who got on the end of Cody Gakpo's cross and volleyed home at the far post.

Norway 3-0 Italy

Italy started their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 3-0 loss to Norway on Friday evening.

First-half goals from Alexander Sorloth, Antonio Nusa and Erling Haaland were enough to seal maximum points for the home side.

The win takes Norway to the top of Group I while the Azzurri find themselves in fourth spot.

North Macedonia 1-1 Belgium

Belgium were held to a 1-1 draw by North Macedonia in their opening World Cup qualifier.

The visitors took the lead in the 28th minutes courtesy of a strike from Maim de Cuyper.

The Red Devils were minutes away from victory until Ezgjan Alioski bagged the equaliser for the home side in the 86th minute.
