Los Blancos announced the departure of Luka Jovic on Thursday, with the Serbian re-joining Eintracht Frankfurt following his horror spell in Spain.

Jovic , who was bought by Real for 63 million (R1.1 billion) in 2019, only scored two goals at Real and now completed a loan to the Bundesliga side.

United, meanwhile, have sold right-back Timothy Fosu-Mensah to Bayer 04 Leverkusen after the Dutchman rejected a contract extension earlier in the campaign.

The 23-year-old moved for a fee of 1.7 million (R31.7 million), six months before the end of his contract. The Premier League side also sent youngster Ethan Laird, who featured for them in the UEFA Europa League this campaign, on loan to MK Dons.
