Chelsea are reportedly set to for a battle with Premier League rivals Everton in a bid to lure a promising Real Madrid defender to England.
The Blues are looking to bolster their young squad after being unable to do transfer business over the previous two windows due to a ban.
Despite the lack of new talent, Frank Lampard had a decent 2019/20 season with his young squad, although the end to their interrupted campaign wasn't ideal.
The London club saw the FA Cup slip through their fingers after going a goal up against Arsenal in the final, and also had to settle for fourth place in the league after Manchester United overtook them on the final day of the season.
However, according to Sky Sports, Chelsea are now linked with Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilon, while Everton have reportedly bid £18 million (R402 million) for the left-back, who has just completed an impressive season on loan at Sevilla.
The Blues have been linked with a move for Leicester City's Ben Chilwell, but the potential cost of signing the England international could force them to look at other options.
The London club is reportedly likely to make a higher offer than Everton for the player in the coming days.
