Following the expiration of his contract with Bayern Munich, veteran French winger Franck Ribery has now found himself a new club.

Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have announced the signing of former Bayern Munich and France winger Ribery, who had become a free agent after leaving Bayern at the end of last season.

"I'm happy, I'm here with my family," Ribery told Sky Italy reporters.
"I've been talking with Fiorentina for the past week, I've also spoken to Luca Toni and he told me it is a great club and an amazing city. I like Florence, plus I already know Italian – it's not perfect but it's good."

Ribery spent 12 years with the Bavarians, where he became one of the club's greatest players ever. The former France international scored 124 goals in 425 appearances for the Bundesliga giants, and helped the club to nine league titles.
