According to Marca, Verratti is determined to move to the Camp Nou in the coming weeks, and has apparently refused to train with the rest of his teammates in order to force the move. The Italian has reported for pre-season training but is training on his own until a deal can be negotiated.
One player who successfully managed to force a move was Cesc Fabregas. At the time, the Spaniard was playing his football for Arsenal and wanted desperately to return to his boyhood club Barcelona. During pre-season, the player refused to train with Arsene Wenger's men, resulting in him eventually getting what he wanted.
Argentina striker Sergio Aguero was another player who got his way with a club, according to Marca. In 2011, the 29-year-old felt it was time to leave Atletico Madrid, but they did not want to lose their prized asset. The player decided not to report to training after hearing that the club would not sell him, and was eventually sold to Manchester City.
Luis Suarez is another star who forced a move in his career, when he was playing for Liverpool. The Uruguayan was desperate to leave England, and wanted to join the Blaugrana where he could play alongside Lionel Messi. He eventually got his wish after numerous transfer requests and controversial incidents forced Liverpool's hand.
Other stars who forced moves include Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez and Robinho.
