11 Transfers That Could Still Happen Before January Deadline

Chelsea target Leandro Paredes completed a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain today, leaving the Blues a player short in midfield after the departure of Cesc Fabregas. Mauricio Sarri wanted a replacement for the Spaniard, but with Paredes preferring a move to France, Cagliari midfielder Nicola Barella seems to be the only potential arrival.

Paredes joined PSG from Zenit for a reported fee of €40 million (R621 million) after signing a four-and-a-half year deal with the club.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are still chasing their targets this window, with Denis Suarez and Ivan Perisic still linked with the Gunners. However, both deals seem to be difficult to get over the line, with the Premier League side only interested in loans, while Inter Milan and Barcelona want to sell their players.

Bayern Munich are also still working hard on geting Chelsea talent Callum Hudson-Odoi onto their books. The 18-year-old reportedly handed in a transfer request, while Bayern submitted up to four offers for him, but Chelsea do not want to let him go.

Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, are believed to have stepped up their chase for former FC Barcelona target Adrien Rabiot. The midfielder has been sent to train with Paris Saint-Germain's reserves after failing to agree to a contract extension with the club. With his contract running out in June, Spurs are reportedly keen to bring him in for a cut-price deal, but the player is reportedly holding out for Liverpool.

The priciest deal to still go through could be Maximiliano Gomez's transfer from Celta Vigo to West Ham United. The Hammers are interested in securing his services for next season, but his LaLiga side insist on the 22-year-old's €50 million (R777 million) release clause, according to the Mirror.
