African FIFA World Cup Qualifying Wrap

Ghana 3-1 Zimbabwe

Ghana bounced back from the defeat to South Africa with a 3-1 victory over Zimbabwe on Saturday evening.

The Warriors were without star forward Khama Billiat, who missed the clash through suspension.

Mohammed Kudus put the Black Stars ahead after just five minutes, before Knowledge Musona converted a penalty on 49 minutes to restore parity.

Arsenal star Thomas Partey, who missed the last two games, gave the home side the lead once again in the 66th minute before Andre Ayew grabbed third goal in the final four minutes.

Senegal 4-1 Namibia

Senegal maintained their perfect start in Group H with a 4-1 win over Namibia on Saturday night.

Idrissa Gueye, Famara Diedhiou, Sadio Mane and Keita Balde managed to get on the score-sheet for the hosts, who remain top of the group.

Baroka attacker Joslin Mbatjiua got the only Namibia, who remain in second spot.

Guinea-Bissau 0-3 Morocco

Morocco defeated Guinea-Bissau 3-0 to make it three wins from three matches in Group I.

Ayoub El Kaabi bagged a brace on the night while Aymen Barkok also added his name to scoresheet.

Guinea 2-2 Sudan

Guinea and Sudan both remain winless in Group I after playing to a 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon.

Jose Kante and Mohamed Bayo were on target for the hosts, although Ahmed Hamed Mahmoud and Amir Kamal helped Sudan secure a spot.

Togo 1-1 Congo

Togo and Congo could not be separated after playing to a 1-1 draw on Saturday evening.

Jacques-Alaixys Romao put the visitors ahead in the 20th minute after converting a penalty.

The Togolese got back on level terms 10 minutes into the second half thanks to a strike from Euloge Meme Placca Fessou.
