Netherlands pipped Turkey to top spot and gained automatic qualification in Group G with a 2-0 win over Norway.

The Oranje left it late, however, as Steven Bergwijn and Memphis Depay scored in the 84th and 91st minutes respectively.

Norway just missed out as they finished in third, although that was already decided in the last round.

Already-qualified France ended their qualifying campaign with a 2-0 win away to Finland on Tuesday night.

Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe scored ten minutes apart in the 66th and 76th minutes respectively.

Les Bleus already had their passage secured and end top with 18 points, while the Finnish miss out on the playoffs as they finish third with 11 points.

Ukraine sneaked into the play-offs with a 2-0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group D.

Oleksandr Zinchenko and Artem Dovbyk got the goals in the 58th and 79th minutes respectively.

The Blue and Yellow needed to win and Finland to lose, which they did, meaning Ukraine leapfrogged the Finnish into second position. Meanwhile, Bosnia and Herzegovina finish second from bottom with seven points.

Wales just got into the play-off spot after holding Belgium to a 1-1 draw in their final group encounter.

Kevin de Bruyne netted in the 12th minute but Kieffer Moore got the crucial equaliser for Wales on the half-hour mark.

The Dragons needed at least a point to keep their World Cup qualification hopes alive to stave off Croatia, who finished third, just one point behind.
