2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Wrap

North Macedonia 0-4 Germany

Germany became the first nation to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar after thrashing North Macedonia 4-0 on Monday night.

After a scoreless first half, the four-time world champions got the breakthrough five minutes after the break courtesy of a Kai Havertz strike.

Havertz's Chelsea teammate Timo Werner was also among the goals as netted twice in the space of the three minutes while Jamal Musiala added the fourth in the final 10 minuets.

Netherlands 6-0 Gibraltar

The Netherlands edge closer to securing a spot at the 2022 FIFA World Cup after thrashing Gibraltar.

Louis Van Gaal's charges raced into a three-goal lead in the first half thanks to Virgil van Dijk and a brace from Memphis Depay.

Denzel Dumfries bagged the fourth shortly after the break, before Arnaut Groeneveld and Donyell Malen rounded off the scoring in the final 15 minutes.

Croatia 2-2 Slovakia

Croatia missed the chance to reclaim top spot after drawing 2-2 with Slovakia.

Ivan Schranz and Lukáš Haraslín put the visitors in a good position, but Andrej Kramaric and Luka Modric rescued a point for the 2018 World Cup finalists.

Estonia 0-1 Wales

Wales kept their qualifying campaign alive with a 1-0 triumph away to Estonia.

Kieffer Moore opened the scoring for the Welsh, who were without Gareth Bale, as early as the 12th minute.
