DR Congo 2-0 Benin
Democratic Republic of Congo secured their progress to the final round of their World Cup qualification with a 2-0 victory over Benin in a make-or-break clash for both sides.
Benin were in pole position in the group prior to the final matchday tie leading DRC Congo by two points.
The Leopards needed a win to make it through to the next round and they did the job with goals from Dieumerci Mbokani (10') and Ben Malango (75') getting on the scoresheet.
Madagascar 1-1 Tanzania
Ten-man Madagascar held Tanzania to a 1-1 draw in a dead-rubber contest with their positions already confirmed before.
Wydad Casablanca striker Simon Msuva put Tanzania in front in the 25th minute but Barea hit back through Hakim Djamel Abdallah in the 74th minute.
The hosts had Pascal Razakanantenaina sent off in the 83rd minute but managed to hold on and claim a point.
Taifa Stars end their campaign third in the group with eight points, while the Malagasy finish bottom with four points.
Mali 1-0 Uganda
Mali qualified for the play-off round with a 1-0 win over Uganda on Sunday evening.
Kalifa Coulibaly netted in the 18th minute as Les Aigles secured their fifth win in six matches to finish with 16 points - a whopping seven points ahead of the second-placed Cranes.
Zimbabwe 1-1 Ethiopia
Zimbabwe finished their World Cup qualification campaign without a win as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ethiopia.
SuperSport United winger Kudakwashe Mahachi opened the scoring in the 39th minute but Abubeker Nasir Ahmed equalised with just four minutes to go.
Ethiopia finish in third with five points and the Warriors end their dismal campaign bottom with just two points.
