The Korean outfit is preparing to face Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns in their first match at the Club World Cup.
While both teams are wary of the threat posed by the other, previous reports indicated that Ulsan head coach Kim Pan-gon identified the game against Masandawana as a must-win clash.
"I believe advancing to the Round of 16 is crucial, and our first match against Mamelodi Sundowns will be key [to that]," Pan-gon said.
According to Sports Seoul, Ulsan arrived in the USA last week and their training base is set up in Charlotte. The club was forced to cut a training session short due to heavy rain and lightning.
"According to the US safety regulation ‘8 Mile Lightning Rule', if lightning occurs within 8 miles (approximately 13km), you must stay in a safe indoor area for 30 minutes," a club official said.
"It was regrettable to end training so suddenly, but we had time to recharge while avoiding the high temperatures of over 30 degrees Celsius and the hot sun." the official added.
