FIFA have confirmed the host nation for this year's Club World Cup, which will feature Chelsea and Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly.

The tournament was scheduled to be to held in Japan later this year, but they pulled out due to the high number of coronavirus cases in the country.
There were reports that South Africa and Qatar threw their names in the hat for the hosting rights, but FIFA has now confirmed that the United Arab Emirates have won the race to host the tournament.

The tournament does not yet have an official date, but the world football governing body has confirmed it will take place in early 2022.
Bayern Munich are the defending champions after they defeated Mexican outfit UNAL 1-0 in the final last time out, while Mosimane's Al Ahly secured the bronze medal with victory over Brazilian giants Flamengo.
The winners for the 2021 Copa Libertadores, the AFC Champions League and the 2021 CONCACAF Champions League must still be determined.
