Arsenal icon Thierry Henry has made a massive admission regarding his time at Barcelona, stating that he hated the position he was asked to play in at the Camp Nou.
Messi 'Among The Reasons' Mbappe Wants To Leave PSG
Henry has made this confession about his time in Catalonia off the back of the latest controversy surrounding Kylian Mbappe.
The Paris Saint-Germain superstar has reportedly made it clear to his club that he wishes to leave as soon as possible because he feels betrayed as a result of unfulfilled promises.
According to reports, there are multiple factors that have contributed to Mbappe's disgruntlement, one of which is manager Christophe Galtier's decision to play him as a striker.
The 23-year-old has been utilised as the main centre-forward for Les Parisiens at times this season, with Neymar and Lionel Messi flanking him, but the attacker does not seem to enjoy playing in this set-up.
Henry has now questioned his compatriot's commitment to winning if he is not willing to sacrifice himself for the team.
"Nobody likes to be exposed to what you're not good at. You just don't like it," France's all-time top goalscorer said of Mbappe on CBS Sports.
"But there's something that's bigger than everyone else: the club. But did they (PSG) make him feel that the club was the most important thing? Or did they make him feel like he was more important than the club?
"I think at one point, for me, I didn't like to play high and wide at Barca – I hated it! But I had to do it for the team.
"I didn't like that, after 100 caps for France and I don't know how many goals I scored – 51 – I had to go and play on the left. I didn't hear anyone saying, 'Oh, what a nice gesture to go and play on the left' for others who have less goals than me and less caps.
"But I always remember, there is only one rule: If the boss is asking you to do something, you do it for the good of the team.
"And your team is winning! If your team was losing, I would have understood your argument."
Kane Breaks Silence On Bayern Links
Henry rose to fame at Arsenal before moving to Barcelona in 2007, where he had to play wide left to accommodate the likes of Samuel Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi in attack.
