A rival manager in LaLiga has slammed FC Barcelona for their decision to sack Xavi Hernandez, just weeks after it was announced he would be staying.
The club announced earlier this month that Xavi had decided to change his mind about leaving and will stay on for the 2024/2025 season.

However, the Catalan giants announced on Friday that they will be parting ways with the club legend ahead of the final game of the season on Sunday evening.
Sevilla manager Quique Sanchez Flores has now criticised Barcelona for how they treated their legends recently, including Xavi, Lionel Messi and Ronald Koeman.
"I shouldn't say this… but how badly Barcelona treats its legends," Flores said, as per Goal.
"What a bad streak. It's probably a bad streak, but what a bad streak. What a bad streak.
"With Koeman, with Messi, with Xavi now, how bad. I wish clubs treated their legends well, fantastically well. That would be fantastic.
"That is a legacy of connection from the managers to the fans. This connects a lot. Treating legends well."
