Al Nassr 'Offer' Barca Star €36m Contract

Al Nassr 'Offer' Barca Star €36m Contract

Having signed Cristiano Ronaldo at the beginning of the year, Saudi Arabia giants Al Nassr have reportedly offered a Barcelona star a contract worth €36 million.

Official: Man City Charged After Four-Year Investigation

According to Mundo Deportivo, the 2010 FIFA World Cup winner has been offered a mammoth €36 million (R681 million) two-year deal by the Knights of Najd to see out the rest of his career in the Saudi Pro League.

Busquets is entering the final months of his current deal at the Spotify Camp Nou, and, despite Xavi Hernandez insisting that he wants his former teammate to stay, the 34-year-old is expected to leave once his contract expires.

Luring the Spaniard is part of Saudi Arabia's plan to have some of the biggest names in world football ply their trade in their top division as the country prepares their joint bid for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Since Ronaldo made the move to the Middle East, plenty of ageing former and current LaLiga stars have been linked with moves to the Saudi Pro League. Keylor Navas, Luka Modric, Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi have all been rumoured to be of interest to either Ronaldo's Al Nassr or their bitter rivals Al Hilal.

Al Nassr will, however, have to wait to see their reported target on the pitch once again as Busquets is currently out of action for the Blaugrana after he sustained an ankle sprain during their 3-0 triumph over Sevilla this past weekend in LaLiga.

Aubameyang's Chelsea Future 'Confirmed' After UCL Snub

Expected to return in just under a month's time, he will miss Barca's UEFA Europa League play-off first-leg clash against Manchester United at home on 16 February and is also likely to miss the return leg at the Theatre of Dreams a week later.
