Lamine Yamal, 16, has continued to impress in Spain despite Barcelona's struggles this season.
The winger, who is a product of the club's famous La Masia academy, set a new record on the weekend when he became the youngest player in LALIGA history to score twice in a single match.
At 16 years and 213 days old, Yamal has taken the record from Catalan club loanee Ansu Fati, who struck a brace in the league in February 2020, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Since coming into the senior set-up, the attacker has appeared for the team on 34 occasions, contributing to 10 goals in the process.
