UEFA Europa League Semi-Final Fixtures Confirmed

UEFA Europa League Semi-Final Fixtures Confirmed

Wolverhampton Wanderers' debut Europa League campaign ended at the quarter-final stage following a 1-0 loss to record holders Sevilla.

Wolves overcame Olympiakos in the previous round while the LaLiga got to the last eight after seeing off AS Roma.

The Premier League outfit were awarded a penalty on 13 minutes, but star striker Raul Jimenez saw his spot-kick saved by Yassine Bounou.

While the game looked to be heading for extra-time, Lucas Ocampos popped up in the 89th minute to nod home Ever Banega's cross to set up a semi-final date with Manchester United on Sunday night.

Shakhtar Donestk cruised into the semi-finals of the Europa League after thrashing FC Basel 4-0 at the VELTINS-Arna.

Junior Moraes got the rout underway after finding the back of the net after just two minutes, before Taison added the second goal 20 minutes later.

Alan Patrick bagged Shakhtar's third goal from the penalty spot in the 75th minute while Dodo completed the scoring with two minutes left on the clock.

As a result, the Ukraine giants will now face Inter Milan in the semi-finals on Monday night.
