Ajax Amsterdam

Besiktas 2-1 Olmpiqyue Lyon (3-3 on aggregate)

Olympique Lyon advanced to the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League after defeating Besiktas 7-6 on penalties on Thursday evening.

Talisca handed the hosts the lead on the night, before Alexandre Lacazette leveled matters for Lyon to make it 3-2 on aggregate. However, Talisca grabbed his goal in the 58th minute, which ultimately sent the tie extra time and penalties.

It was the French outfit who held their nerve in the penalty shoot-out to secure their spot in the final four.

Schalke 3-2 Ajax (3-4 on aggregate)

Ajax Amsterdam booked their spot in the semi-finals, despite suffering a 3-2 defeat to Schalke in the second leg.

The Dutch giants held a 2-0 lead from the first leg, however Schalke raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to second-half goals from Leon Goretzka and Guido Burgstaller, which sent the match into extra-time.

Daniel Caligiuri then put Schalke 3-2 up on aggregate with his goal 101st minute, but Ajax hit back through Nick Viergever and Amin Younes to progress to the final four.

KRC Genk 1-1 Celta Vigo (3-4 on aggregate)

Celta Vigo progressed to the last four of the competition after securing a 1-1 draw in their second-leg tie against Genk.

The La Liga claimed a 3-1 win in the first leg last week, but managed a draw on Thursday evening, as Pione Sisto's opener was cancelled out by Leandro Trossard.
