Manchester United superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has commented on Bastian Schweinsteiger's return to the first team.
Mourinho Hails Man Utd's 'Beautiful' Football
The former Bayern Munich star was told to train with the Red Devils' reserve team upon the arrival of Jose Mourinho, who had initially deemed the German surplus to requirements.
Much to the delight of many United fans, however, Schweinsteiger made his first appearance of the season for the English club earlier this week, and Ibrahimovic was glad to see him back on the pitch too.
"I'm happy for him. I'm happy because the situation for him hasn't been easy," the Swede said, as quoted by Sky Sports.
"He has been working hard, he's kept patient and mentally it's not easy – especially when you have had a career just like his.
"I have nothing but respect for him and am super happy that he's back.
"And also the person is fantastic, so happy to see him back on the field and you could see the crowd was happy also."
