With the 2023/24 Premier League season close to commencing, Harry Kane could reportedly make a surprise U-turn regarding his potential move to Bayern Munich.

According to The Telegraph, the England captain will stay in north London if Tottenham Hotspur and the Bavarian giants fail to reach an agreement over a transfer fee before the Lilywhites' opening EPL fixture against Brentford on Sunday.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the English outfit had rejected the Bundesliga side's latest offer, with it claimed that the record German champions are still £25 million (R599 million) off Spurs' valuation of their all-time leading goalscorer.
In light of his new deadline, Bayern are expected to submit a last-gasp bid before the end of the week to bring the 30-year-old to the Allianz Arena as they remain eager to complete the deal before their season starts with the DFL Super Cup against RB Leipzig on Saturday.
It is believed Kane does not want to leave the English capital after the season starts because he feels it would be unfair on the team, the fans, his family and new head coach Ange Postecoglou for him to do so.
With the attacker now in the final year of his current contract and showing no intention of signing a new deal with Spurs, this does put pressure on both chairman Daniel Levy and the two-time treble winners to complete the transfer for different reasons.
Should the Three Lions' all-time top scorer fail to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the transfer window shuts, this leaves the Premier League side with the possibility of losing their talisman without recouping a single cent at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Bayern, meanwhile, will likely have more competition for Kane's signature if he is to leave as a free agent next year, something they would likely want to avoid.
