The 35-year-old has rolled back the years for Antalyaspor in Turkey this season, scoring 20 goals and assisting another six strikes.
He has played in the Premier League before, for Chelsea and Everton, and has now surprisingly been linked with the Red Devils, although he seemed to brush this aside.
"They announce me everywhere (laughs)," he told French website La Provence.
"That's the transfer window game, but the most important thing for me is to continue to have fun.
"I still have a lot to give, and I need competition."
Eto'o's most successful spell in his career came at the Camp Nou, where he scored 129 goals and set up another 36 for his teammates in 198 official games.
He won eight trophies during his time in Spain and became the first player to claim back-to-back trebles after first winning it with Pep Guardiola's Barcelona in 2008/09, and again with Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan the following season.

His Premier League spell in the latter stages of his career was not as successful, though – he scored only 16 goals in 55 matches for Chelsea and Everton.
