Despite being second in the Premier League table to arguably one of the strongest teams in Europe, Manchester City, Mourinho is apparently looking to spend big money during the off-season.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Portuguese manager wants to bring a central defender, a left back and a holding midfielder in the next window.
It has been claimed that Borussia Dortmund's Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Tottenham Hotspur's Toby Alderweireld are his main transfer targets for the centre back spot.
Mourinho is reportedly still interested in Spurs' out-of-favour fullback Danny Rose, who got a rarer runout for the Lilywhites in their 4-1 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League this past weekend, while Lazio's central midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is said to be the club's prime target for the engine room.
The Serbian international has been in great form in Italy this season, scoring 11 goals and assisting a further seven strikes in 37 games.

While Rose could replace Luke Shaw at United, Milinkovic-Savic could fill the void created by the soon-to-retire Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini, who is yet to sign a new deal with the Red Devils and could leave on a free at the end of the campaign.
