Percy Tau's Brighton Hove Albion are reportedly looking to make a move for a Barcelona attacker ahead of the new season.
Martin Braithwaite is said to be one of a few players Barca are looking to offload in an attempt to reduce their wage bill.
Currently, the Catalans cannot register their four new signings – Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia, Memphis Depay and Emerson Royal – and Lionel Messi on a new deal until they comply with LaLiga's Financial Fair Play rules.
As such, Denmark international Braithwaite could be the next player to be offloaded, with SPORT reporting that Brighton have shown an interest in the striker.
It is believed that Barcelona will demand £13 million (R258 million) for the striker's services, while it is also claimed that Brighton will use some of the money they are reportedly set to receive from the expected sale of Ben White to Arsenal to lure Braithwaite to the club.
The 30-year-old has also been linked with the likes of West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are both keen to bolster their attacks.
