The Spaniard is reportedly very close to completing the signing of goalkeeper Claudio Bravo. According to Sport, the Chile shot-stopper will arrive in Manchester on Tuesday and have his medical on Wednesday.
It is expected that Bravo will be announced as Manchester City's newest player on Thursday – one day after the second leg of Ajax Amsterdam's UEFA Champions League qualifying play-off game against Rostov.
Why the focus on Ajax? Their keeper Jasper Cillessen has been lined up by Barca as a replacement for Bravo, and will feature in the Dutch giants' game against Rostov on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the Netherlands international will apparently have his medical at the Camp Nou and complete a €13 million (R199 million) move to the Blaugrana.
Bravo will reportedly join City for about €20 million (R306 million), while his current €3 million (R46 million) annual salary will be doubled by Guardiola's club.
His arrival could also signal the end of Joe Hart's time with the Premier League club, after he was dropped to the bench for Willy Caballero. However, the England international is yet to find a new club and could end up being frozen out until January.

In Barcelona, meanwhile, Marc-Andre ter Stegen will reportedly become Luis Enrique's No. 1, with Cillessen willing to be his back-up.
