Raymond Domenech: Jose Mourinho Just A Translator With An Ego

Raymond Domenech: Jose Mourinho Just A Translator With An Ego

Former France manager, Raymond Domenech, has hit out at Jose Mourinho, saying he is just a translator with a big ego.

Domenech criticized Mourinho and several others in his new book 'Mon dico passion du foot' – which translates as 'My Passionate Dictionary of Football'.

"That's the problem with translators, there comes a time when they convince themselves they wrote the text themselves," he writes about the Chelsea boss as quoted by the Telegraph.

Domenech also accuses former Frecnh striker, Nicolas Anelka, of having a 'Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde' personality.

"(Anelka) forced the national team to put up with his bad character, even his acts of stupidity, in South Africa and afterwards, but since then, Sir is in a mood because he wanted to win the Ballon d'Or," he continued.

The 62-year-old then slammed French legend, Zinedine Zidane, for his headbutt on Marco Matterazzi at the 2006 World Cup.

"(Henry) sacrificed his image for the benefit of the France team," he writes, while Zidane "sacrificed the team's chances for the benefit of his pride."

Domenech coached the French national team between 2004 and 2010, but has been out of work since the group-stage failure at the World Cup in South Africa.
