PSG 'Enter' Race For Harry Kane

PSG 'Enter' Race For Harry Kane

PSG have reportedly entered the race to sign Harry Kane in the upcoming transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in making Harry Kane one of their blockbuster additions in the next transfer window.

According Le Parisien, the French giants are now set to rival Manchester United for the signature of England's all-time top goalscorer.

The Ligue 1 champions appear to be in a period of flux regarding their attacking options, and with rumours of a potential Neymar exit circulating and Lionel Messi yet to sign an extension with the club, it remains to be seen what their forward line will look like come the 2023/24 season.

Sporting director Luis Campos is reportedly keen to refresh Les Parisiens' attacking options during the next window and apparently rates Kane as the man who can dovetail with Kylian Mbappe the best out of the forwards that will be available in the market.

Club CEO Nassir Al-Khelaifi and Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy already have a good relationship, and if Kane is to leave the English capital, it is likely the English executive would prefer selling to a team outside the Premier League.

With Levy a notoriously tough negotiator, the same report suggests that United manager Erik ten Hag has identified Kane as his top priority for the upcoming window.

The 29-year-old came close to moving to the Red Devils' rivals Manchester City at the beginning of last season, but a deal failed to materialise. Now, as he heads into the final 12 months of his current deal, the striker has a lot more leverage to potentially engineer a move away from north London.

While a move to the Parc des Princes could perhaps ensure Kane trophies, something the forward has so far found elusive in his career, it is believed the English marksman – who has scored 206 times to date in the English top flight – will have Alan Shearer's Premier League goals record (260 strikes) in mind when calling time on his career with the Lilywhites.
