The Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled in City's favour on Monday, which means Guardiola and his side can plan for UEFA Champions League football next season after all, and will also be keen to regain the Premier League trophy after losing it to Liverpool in this campaign.

With City ready to compete on all fronts again, they have drawn up several targets for the upcoming transfer window, which will open on 27 July for English clubs.

According to The Athletic, City could have a busy window as they are looking to recruit players at centre-back, left-back, on the wing and up front.

The Premier League club reportedly wanted to include David Alaba, who is seemingly open to an exit from Bayern Munich, in Leroy Sane's transfer, but the German side rejected the idea. The Citizens, though, could still go after the versatile Austrian defender, who has worked under Guardiola at Bayern.

Other potential left-back targets include Alex Sandro, Ben Chilwell and Southampton's Ryan Bertrand.

At the centre of defence, Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly seems to be high on the wish list, which also includes AFC Bournemouth's Nathan Ake.

On the wing, a replacement for Sane needs to be signed, with Ferran Torres named as a prime target, while Kingsley Coman, Leon Bailey and Mikel Oyarzabal have been mentioned as other options.
