Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has responded to questions that he could bring a new player to the Premier League champions in the January transfer window.
Pep Changes His Retirement Plans
The Reds have struggled with major injury issues in defence this season so far, with both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez set to be out until end of the campaign.
Joel Matip has also suffered various knocks, forcing Klopp to call upon the inexperienced Rhys Williams and Nathaniel Phillips perhaps more often than he would have liked.
Reports in recent weeks and days have suggested the German tactician could seek solutions in this January window, though the 53-year-old appears to have played down those rumours.
"We have solutions in the squad obviously, but we struggled still with injuries. For most of the time with centre-half position, it can happen like this - when it starts, it does not stop," he said, according to Goal.
"We have solutions with the squad but if we can do something in the window, I don't know. It is like that.
"It is a very difficult transfer window, as you can imagine. Not all of the clubs have real money. Just doing something makes no sense.
"Doing the right thing makes sense. So far, we have really liked what we have done."
Liverpool have been linked with Lille centre-back Sven Botman, though a move for the Dutchman seems unlikely at this point.
