Erling Haaland has been tipped by a former Manchester City star to reach the same levels Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have.
Howe Hits Back At Klopp Over Spending Claim
Two-time Premier League winner Joleon Lescott has admitted that he thinks Haaland is in the same echelon of player as multiple Ballon d'Or winners Messi and Ronaldo.
The Norwegian marksman has had an incredible start to life as a Citizen, with the 22-year-old having already found the back of the net 20 times in 14 games across all competitions for his new club.
Having played against both Ronaldo and Messi, former England defender Lescott believes the Scandinavian is capable of being among the greatest ever to play the game.
"The toughest striker I came up against was Louis Saha and I played against Messi and Ronaldo. He [Haaland] is in that category," Lescott told ESPN.
"He's going to be a successful player throughout his career, but to say he's going to be the greatest ever, I think it's a little bit early and I don't think he would [want] that yet.
"I think if he continues to do what he's doing, he will definitely be in that conversation."

Lescott donned the famous sky blue of City on 160 occasions during his five years at the club, where, along with his 2011/12 and 2013/14 Premier League titles, he also managed to bag FA Cup and Carabao Cup winner's medals.
