After Lyle Foster limped off during Burnley's latest victory, his manager Vincent Kompany has responded to questions surrounding the forward's fitness.

The Johannesburg native returned to goalscoring ways this past weekend, during the Clarets' resounding 4-1 victory over fellow relegation battlers Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
The 23-year-old scored his team's third of the afternoon, but was unable to add to his tally as he was substituted off by his Belgian manager in the 84th minute.

When coming off, the Bafana Bafana international seemed to be hobbling towards the bench, raising concerns that the striker could be injured once again.
However, his Belgian manager has set the record straight regarding his joint-top goalscorer's fitness.
"No, I think they're all fine. I haven't had any emergency reports," the Belgian tactician said, as per the Burnley Express.
"Lyle had a difficult lead into the game, so he was touch and go anyway before the game. After the performance, after the goal, it was sensible to give another striker a run."
After struggling with his mental health earlier on in the campaign, which saw him to miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Foster was sidelined for about a month between February and March.

Burnley are three points off safety and will likely be hoping the former Orlando Pirates attacker is able to stay injury-free for the remainder of the season as they hope to maintain their Premier League status heading into the new campaign.
