Result: Norwich City 4-5 Liverpool
Date: 23 January 2016
Venue: Carrow Road
Adam Lallana netted in stoppage time to earn Liverpool a 5-4 win over Norwich in a thrilling encounter at Carrow Road.
Liverpool broke the deadlock with the first real opening of the game in the 18th minute, as the Brazilian sprung the offside trap, before firing a low effort in off the upright.
However, Norwich leveled matters in the 29th minute, as Mbokani showed great strength to hold off Sakho, before back-heeling the past Simon Mignolet from six-yards out.
The home side then took the lead in the 40th minute when Steven Naismith latched onto a pass from Wes Hoolihan, before firing a low effort into the bottom corner from 12-yards out.
That proved to be the last bit of goal-mouth action for the first half, as Norwich led the Reds at the halftime break.
Norwich were then awarded a penalty when Alberto Moreno brought down Naismith in the box. Hoolihan stepped and converted the spot-kick, 3-1.
Liverpool reduced the deficit just a minute later, as Firminho teed the ball up for Jordan Henderson, who sweeped home with a fine finish from distance.
Jurgen Klopp's side then found themselves level in the 63rd minute when Adam Lallana picked out an un-marked Firmino, who lobbed the on-rushing Rudd.
However, Liverpool were then gifted the lead in the 75th minute when James Milner pounced on a poor back pass from Martin, before calmly slotting home from close range.
Norwich pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages and were rewarded in stoppage time thanks fine low strike from defender, Sebastian Bassong.
However, Liverpool managed to secure the win in the final minute of stoppage time thanks to Adam Lallana's looping volley from 12-yards out.
