Danny Welbeck struck in stoppage time to earn Arsenal a 2-1 win over Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium.
Petr Cech came to the Gunners' rescue in the 15th minute, as he produced a superb save to keep out Jamie Vardy's towering header.
Cech was at his best once again in the 39th minute, when the Gunners goalkeeper got finger tips to Kante's effort from the edge of the box.
Leicester were then awarded a penalty on the stroke of halftime when Nacho Monreal was adjudged to have brought down Vardy, who stepped up and converted the spot-kick.
