English Premier League
Full Time: Manchester City 5-0 Swansea
Date: 22 April 2018
Venue: Etihad Stadium
It was a shoe-shine performance from English Premier League champions-elect Manchester City, who registered an impressive 5-0 win over Swansea City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
City were on the attack from the first whistle and opened the scoring in the 12th minute when a clever pass from Raheem Sterling put David Silva into space inside the box and he made no mistake with just the keeper to beat, 2-0.
Sterling was on the scoresheet himself four minutes later as he latched on to a through ball from Fabian Delph and, much like Silva, the English striker produced a clinical finish, 2-0.
On the half hour, Kevin De Bruyne almost found his side's third goal when he let fly with a ferocious shot from the edge of the box, but the Swansea keeper produced a great save to deny him.
City dictated the flow of play for the remainder of the half but could not add to their goal tally before the break.

Ten minutes into the second half, De Bruyne did find the corner of the net with a 20-yard thunderbolt, 3-0.
In the 65th minute, City found their fourth goal when Bernardo Silva was the quickest to react to tap home a rebound after an initial penalty from Gabriel Jesus was saved, 4-0.
It was almost five in the 72nd minute when Aymeric Laporte rose highest to meet a pin-point cross into the box, but his header came off the post.
Despite missing a penalty, Jesus did find the back of the net in the 89th minute when he got onto the end of a lofted pass from Yaya Toure and headed past the keeper to hand City an emphatic 5-0 win.
