English Premier League
Result: Liverpool 4-1 West Ham United
Date: 24 February 2018
Venue: Anfield
Emre Can, Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino were all on the scoresheet as Liverpool secured a 4-1 victory over West Ham United at Anfield.
With their victory, the Merseysiders move up to second place on the table, above Manchester United, who face Chelsea on Sunday.
West Ham striker Mikhail Antonio pulled a goal back for the Hammers after coming on as a substitute for Manuel Manzini.
Liverpool got off the mark from a corner as Can's header found the back of the net from Salah's delivery after 29 minutes.
Despite the Reds' domination, they only went into the half-time break leading by the solitary strike.
However, the Reds doubled their lead shortly after the break when Salah latched onto Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's pass to stroke his left-foot finish past West Ham goalkeeper Adrian.
Brazilian forward Firmino added his name to the score sheet after Can picked him out with a terrific through ball, with Adrien misreading the situation and allowing the striker to pounce on the error to tap in after 57 minutes.
During a period where the home side were completely dominant and put David Moyes's men under relentless pressure, the visiting side scored via Antonio with his first touch of the game.
Senegalese forward Mane completed the rout for Liverpool in the 77th minute as he latched onto Firmino's cross to tap in and secure a comfortable win for the Reds.
