Alvaro Morata looks to have regained his form as he netted a brace to inspire Chelsea to a 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The Blues opted start Eden Hazard on the bench, as Pedro and Willian joined Morata in the attack.
After a cagey start to the encounter, Wilfried Zaha had an opportunity to give Roy Hodgson's men the lead in the 20th minute after cutting inside, but his curling effort sailed over the bar.
Morata eventually broke the deadlock for Maurizio Sarri's charges in the 32nd minute with a close range finish following a cross into the box by Pedro.
Willian thought he had got the second goal for Chelsea ten minutes before the break after going through to score into an empty net but the goal was disallowed for offside.
Eight minutes after the break, Andros Townsend got the equaliser for Palace with a clinical strike after he was sent through on goal by James McArthur.
David Luiz came close To restoring the lead for Chelsea two minutes after the hour with a gliding header inside the box that was saved desperately by Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.
Hazard was introduced after 64 minutes and his impact was immediate as his free-kick found Morata at the far post, and he lashed home a clinical finish at the far post.
Pedro sealed the win for Chelsea 20 minutes before time with a brilliant side-footed shot into the bottom corner from close range after he was picked by Marcos Alonso on the left.
Morata had a glorious chance to complete his hat-trick deep in stoppage time being played through on goal by Hazard, but his lofted effort was saved by Palace shot-stopper Wayne Hennessey as the encounter ended 3-1.
