Los Blancos fell 14 points behind the Catalan giants after the humiliating loss at the Santiago Bernabeu, where they also had Dani Carvajal was sent off.

Real also suffered a 3-2 loss to Barcelona at the Bernabeu last season, although they did go on two win the title.
