Just three days after losing in the Copa del Rey, Los Blancos suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Catalan giants in LaLiga on Saturday evening.

Ramos, who is no stranger to drama in El Clasico, clashed with Messi just before the halftime break after he appeared to catch his rival in the face, which angered the Argentine superstar.

The Los Blancos defender has clashed with Messi in previous El Clasicos, but he insists the collision was an accident.

"These things happen in games.

"I did not mean to catch in him, however he has taken it very badly and stayed down.

"The referee made the decision and that is the end of it for me."
