The result on Sunday will not change the fortunes for either Barca or Real in LaLiga this season, considering the home side have already wrapped up the title. Zinedine Zidane's do, however, have second spot to play for.

The fixture does not typically need incentives for either side for it to be a cracker, and Sunday is no different as there will be some of the biggest stars on display.

Among the big names, Barca's Messi is the highest paid player in the fixture with his salary of £500 000 (R8.5 million) a week, while Ronaldo weekly wage of £365 000 (R6.3 million) sees him follow his rival in second.

Third on the list is Los Blancos' Gareth Bale, whose future at the club is seemingly uncertain. The ex-Tottenham Hotspur winger is reportedly on a weekly wage of £350 000 (R6 million).

In fourth is Blaugrana striker Luis Suarez on £290 000 (R4.9 million) a week, and the Uruguayan is followed by his former Liverpool and current colleague Philippe Coutinho, who according to the report earns £240 000 (R4.1 million) a week.

Real's Toni Kroos, Marcelo and captain Sergio Ramos are all believed to be on a weekly wage of £200 000 (R3.4 million), along with Barca's French winger Ousmane Dembele.

Next is Catalan club midfielder Sergio Busquets and Real's Luka Modric, two players widely considered among the best midfielders across the world. Both players are said to earn £180 000 (R3 million) a week at their respective clubs.
