Chelsea striker Didier Drogba expressed that his first trophy under Jose Mourinho back in 2005 was a special one for him.
Chelsea Announce £200m Sponsorship Deal
Drogba lifted the Capital One Cup back in 2005, when Chelsea beat Liverpool, and he revealed it was special because it was his first ever team trophy.
The Ivorian admitted that it was a big moment for him, and he was delighted to share the achievement with his Chelsea teammates.
"It was a big day because it was the first trophy I won with teammates," Drogba told the official Chelsea website.
"I had won individual things like French Player of the Year and Player of the Month, but as a team, I had won nothing in France so for me it was the first time to achieve something with my teammates, it was a great moment."
The 36-year-old believes it's far too difficult to pick out one final as his favourite, but says he shared the same joy in all of them.
"The cup finals are all special, that is the thing, it is difficult to pick one out because not to say all, but in most of the finals I played there was a special feeling when you score a goal or when you win and lift the cup. They are all different games but the joy is the same," he added.
The 2005 Capital One Cup final was the first trophy Chelsea had won since Roman Abramovich became owner, and it was the first won under Jose Mourinho's management.
