Carabao Cup Third Round Wrap & Fourth Round Draw

Chelsea 1-1 Aston Villa (4-3 on penalties)

Chelsea advanced to the fourth of the Carabao Cup after defeating Aston Villa on penalties at Stamford B

After a scoreless first half, the Blues broke the deadlock in the 54th minute courtesy of Timo Werner's first goal of the season, before Villa were back on level terms 10 minutes later through Cameron Archer.

The game went to a penalty shoot-out, where the hosts held their nerve to win 4-3 on penalties.

Arsenal 3-0 AFC Wimbledon

Arsenal secured their ticket to the fourth round with a 3-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon.

The Gunnners got the opening goal after 11 minutes when Alexandre Lacazette converted from the penalty spot for his second goal of the tournament.

South African midfielder Ethan Chislett was introduced by Wimbledon on 66 minutes, but the Gunners went on to get seal the win thanks to goals from Emile Smith-Rowe and Eddie Nketiah.

Milwall 0-2 Leicester City

Leicester City were made to work for their 2-0 victory over Championship side Millwall at The Den.

Ademola Lookman broke the deadlock for the Foxes five minutes after the halftime break with his first goal for the club, before Kelechi Iheanacho sealed the win in the 88th minute.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur needed penalties to secure their spot in the next round of the League Cup after throwing a two-goal lead.

Spurs raced into a two-goal lead thanks to strikes from Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Kane in the opening 25 minutes.

Leandro Dendoncker pulled a goal back for Wolves in in the 38th minute before Daniel Pondence equalised in the 58th minute and ultimately sent the game to penalties, where Spurs triumph 3-2.
