German Bundesliga Starting XI: Schalke v Borussia Dortmund 08 December 2018

Schalke will be hoping to become the first team this season to get the better of Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga when the two sides lock horns in the Revierderby.   The match is scheduled to get underway at 16h30.   Schalke can take solice from the visitors horrible run in Gelsenkirchen, with their last victory coming over a decade ago.   It's the first time in six years that Dortmund head into this clash on top of the table, with record-holders Bayern Munich seemingly all over the place at this present moment in time.   A situation of 19 points and 12 places on the table separates the two clubs, with Schalke struggling down the bottom half eager to get one over their rivals.   Dortmund have failed to win any of the last five derbies, with Schalke running out 2-0 winners in the last encounter back in April.   Dortmund's attack is on song, with Paco Alcacer- recently signed from FC Barcelona, - the league's top marksman with nine goals to date.   In the corresponding fixture last season, it ended in a 4-4 draw with Schalke clawing their way back from being 4-0 down at halftime.
