Despite breaking their club transfer record for the services of England's all-time top goalscorer in Harry Kane, their German head coach does not appear to be particularly pleased with the club's business during the past window.
Tuchel is rumoured to have pleaded all window long with the club for a defensive midfielder, and while it seemed like they would sign Portugal international Joao Palhinha on deadline day, a deal was not completed in time, even though the 28-year-old had completed a medical and media obligations ahead of his proposed move from Fulham.
This does not seem to have gone down well with the 50-year-old tactician as, after the Bavarians' 2-1 comeback victory over Borussia Monchengladbach, he insisted that his squad was still lacking in defensive areas.
"The squad is a bit thin, a bit small. We have six trained defensive players for a four-man chain, which is perfect," the ex-Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea boss said, as per the Daily Mirror.
According to Bild, comments like the above coupled with his rumoured erratic behaviour during the off-season have begun to rub the chiefs at Sabener Strasse the wrong way.
His statements following the Monchengladbach performance are said to have caused "total incomprehension" among senior figures at the club.
The same report also claims that Bayern executives have also become frustrated with the difference in opinion on who the priority transfer targets for the team were.
