Eight-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt has named nine stars he believes can replace Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the best footballers in the world.

While the former Jamaica sprinter was the best in his sport before retiring, his attempt at a football career never really kicked off.
Ahead of the FIFA awards gala in Milan, Italy, on Monday night, FIFA.com caught up with the 33-year-old to discuss several topics around the beautiful game.
Bolt explained that he was not able to dedicate enough time to "make it a success professionally" as a footballer before he was asked who he thinks can take over from Messi and Ronaldo.
"There are a lot of exciting young players – Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr., Jadon Sancho," he said.
"It will be interesting to see how the former Ajax players Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong do at their new clubs, as well as Eden Hazard at Real.
"I am friends with Raheem Sterling, Paul Pogba and Leon Bailey, and hope they can keep playing well."

The football fanatic also spoke about who he thinks will win the main award on Monday night, before revealing who he personally would vote for.
"All three are wonderful players. I think Messi and Ronaldo have won this award five times each," he added.
"Van Dijk just won the UEFA Award, and based on the success of Liverpool last season, it may be his turn.
"As a Manchester United fan, I would probably vote for Ronaldo!"
