The French publication has released the second part of the nominees to complete their 30-men shortlist.
After Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were the standout names of the first part, more high-profile players were named among the nominees.
UEFA Player of the Year Virgil van Dijk as well as Messi, who won FIFA's The Best Men's Player, were both nominated alongside Bernardo Silva, Robert Lewandowski and Heung-min Son.
In Mahrez, Mohamed Salah and Kalidou Koulibaly, three more Africans made the 30-men shortlist, while Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne also made the cut.
Antoine Griezmann, Roberto Firmino, Eden Hazard, Joao Felix and Marquinhos completed the 30 nominees.
The shortlist, which was announced in batches on Monday evening, was compiled by France Football's editorial staff. Thereafter, a jury of international journalists will vote for their favourite, choosing their five best players and awarding them six, four, three, two and one point, respectively.
