Liverpool's Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has opened up about his chances of winning the Ballon D'Or this year.

The Egyptian has enjoyed one of his best campaigns in a red shirt and has picked up 33 goals and 23 assists in all competitions this season, according to Transfermarkt.
His performances this season were enough to steer Liverpool to a 20th league title, while he is also on course to win a record-equalling fourth Premier League Golden Boot after scoring 28 league goals during the 2024/25 campaign.
The Egyptian King was recently crowned the Football Writer's Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year for the third time, after winning in 2018 and 2022, and during an interview with Sky Sports, he revealed his desire to win football's most prized individual award.
"I would say, like, I never had a season like this and winning a big trophy,' Salah said.
"So this is, I would say, my best chance to get it right now while I'm in the club because you [sic] just had that crazy year, crazy season with the trophy that will give me a good chance," the Egyptian concluded.

Since his move to Liverpool in 2017, Salah has been a regular Ballon D'Or frontrunner and has picked up multiple top-10 finishes, including 5th place in 2019 and 2022, 6th in 2018, and 7th in 2021.
