Earlier this year, France Football decided there would be no 2020 Ballon d'Or winner due to the coronavirus pandemic.
After the public outcry that followed, the French publication decided to put together a Ballon d'Or Dream Team consisting of the 11 best players in history.
After 170 journalists worldwide cast their votes, 11 lists with 10 nominees per position were release over the past two weeks.
However, there were some notable absentees, including current UEFA Men's Player of the Year Robert Lewandowski, who was snubbed for the list of forwards.
With the Bayern Munich star having been omitted, Dennis Bergkamp, Gerd Muller, Johan Cruyff, Romario, Kenny Dalglish, Ronaldo Nazario, Eusebio, Marco van Basten, Sandor Kocsis and George Weah were the 10 nominees for his position.

Another controversial snub was the omission Dani Alves for the right-back position. The former FC Barcelona defender is one of the most decorated players in football history but was not selected among the 10 nominees for the Ballon d'Or Dream Team.
Instead, Giuseppe Bergomi, Cafu, Carlos Alberto, Djalma Santos, Claudio Gentile, Manfred Kaltz, Philipp Lahm, Wim Suurbier, Lilian Thuram and Berti Vogts made the shortlist.
The final Ballon d'Or Dream Team will be announced on 17 December by France Football.
