After Luka Modric ended a decade of dominance by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo this week, France Football put together a 10-man list of players they believe could soon be challenging for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award.

The French publication believes Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli could one day be in contention for the prize, though the 22-year-old might only come close if he wins trophies. Alli might be tempted to leave Spurs in order to win regular silverware, which might also give him the best chance of competing for the individual award.
FC Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho is among the names mentioned by France Football. The Brazilian, 26, still has plenty of time ahead of him and is already considered as one of the best attacking midfielders in world football.
Argentina and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala made the list, as did Bayern Munich's versatile star Joshua Kimmich and, perhaps unsurprisingly, Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe, who finished fourth in this year's rankings.
The publication also believes Paul Pogba could be in contention for the prize in future, but not many would agree with that prediction if the Frenchman is at Manchester United under Jose Mourinho.
The 25-year-old has been linked with moves away from the Red Devils, with clubs such as Juventus and Barca interested in his signature.
The aforementioned Mbappe's teammate, Neymar, is also on the list, but to see all 10 names, click through the gallery above!
