Zinnbauer's Next Club 'Confirmed'

After confirming his exit from Raja Club Athletic, Josef Zinnbauer has reportedly reached an agreement with a new club.

The 54-year-old finally put all the rumours regarding his future with the Green Eagles to rest on Tuesday night when he confirmed that he would be leaving the club after only one full season in charge.

After his stint with Orlando Pirates came to an end in August 2021, the Schwandorf native returned to the African continent in June 2023 to take charge of the north African giants.

His time with the three-time CAF Champions League winners went perfectly as, in his one full season in charge of Raja, he managed to win the Botola Pro Inwi and the Moroccan Throne Cup without suffering a single defeat in either competition.

While things on the pitch went according to plan, there has been instability off it, though.

Recently, the club's president, Mohamed Boudrika, was arrested.

There have also been rumours suggesting some discontent about player departures as well as mounting tensions between players and management.

Saudi Pro League outfit Al Wehda have thus seemingly taken advantage of the situations and offered the German tactician a job as their head coach.

According to Arriyadiyah, the two parties have now reached an agreement, and Zinnbauer is poised to be the club's new manager going into the 2024/25 season.

Along with reaching an agreement with Zinnbauer, the same report states that the Gulf club has also successfully signed Uruguayan goalkeeper Ignacio de Arruabarrena.
